Sammy was born at the Ely Memorial Hospital in Ely, MN to Dan and Krissy Richter. He was baptized at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, where he also made his first communion and confirmation. Sammy was a born entertainer, he loved singing and performing, most of the time in costume. He even had his own Radio Show and can still be heard on many radio commercials. His personality was like him, larger than life. Sammy graduated from Ely Memorial High class of 2001. Through high school he was a sports manager and continued his love of the game cheering on the New York Giants. He held customer service and entertainment positions through his short life. Sammy was loved by all and will be missed dearly. He will be remembered by his cartoon like character, his love for WWE, Elvis and his huge heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Krissy Richter. Grandparent Derald and Audrey Richter, and Anna Mae and Jim McReynolds. Many cousins and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by sister Tessa (Jared) Overton, his niece and nephew Summer and Jake Tome, the love of his life Melissa Morrison, stepchildren Rhys Truty, Madison (Colton) Clark, Logan and Taylor Mather, a grandson Luke Clark, special friend Sydney Matthias, Godmother and Godfather Chris and Larry Urbas; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that became family.
