James Healy Obituary

Just found out today that Jim passed away. He was my apprentice instructor when I started the A School in 1971. My thoughts and prayers are with Jim´s wife and family. Godspeed Jim Healy

Jim always came into the office to talk my ear off, in the best way. He also randomly gave me a bunch of apple juice one day. An unpredictable but lovely man.

Jim was a great guy to run into at the Y. He always had a smile (and a snack) for everyone that he came across. I am so sorry to hear about this loss and he will be missed.

Jim was a great person and dictated Knights of Columbus member who will be sadly missed. He was also one of my best Hot Pepper jelly fans. Rest in peace my friend.

I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of Jim. Jim wore many hats and was successful in all of them. He made things happen and did a lot of good in the community, but most of all he was my friend, and I will miss him.

Sending my love to Ms. Nancy. Mr. Jim kept us all young at heart. I will miss him dearly & his smiles, kindness, splashing in the pool, his aqua Mohawks, his snacks (especially the mints & dum dums), & his energy.

I only knew James from the YMCA. I didn´t even know his name. However, whenever I see him he always made me smile or laugh. He was sun shine and can light up a room. I can honestly say that even though I have just learned his name, I will miss him. The sun has become a little less brighter.

Jim will be missed by all of us at the YMCA and ST Kateri Church. I will miss him greeting me with his big smile!

I much enjoyed spending time with James during our Knights of Columbus meetings and activities. Our family sends our condolences to the entire Healty family.

Jim was always smiling as he came into the YMCA at the Yorktown location. I enjoyed our little visits and he cared so much about others. He will be missed by all the members. Nancy you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Working around Jim brought joy to the workplace. Mid nineties to mid 2005, started our close relationship at work and ultimately in the Apprentice Alumni. Jim also supported my endeavors as a Boy Scout Leader and would have the boys that couldnt afford the cost lf summer camp..work for it at Jim´s house doing yard work, leaves being raked..all in order of supporting their ability to experience Boy Scout Summer Camp. This is only one tiny gesture Jim did his whole life, left left a lasting memory for myself as well as many young boys. Rest in Peace my friend . Steve Gray

Jim was a giant among men. He will be so sorely missed. Especially, by the families of the lost crew of USS SCORPION, SSN 589 of whom he was so supportive. May God bless Nancy and Jim´s family. R.I.P.
