Harold Amos Obituary

Harold A. Amos, 84, of Williamsburg, VA peacefully went home to the lord on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He had his loving family by his side.

On October 19, 1939, Harold was born to the late Robert R. Amos and Maggie G. Amos in Fluvanna County, VA. Later moving to Norge, VA and settling in Williamsburg, VA.

Harold was the third of six children. He had a long career of 40 years with Colonial Williamsburg Foundation where he painted historical buildings and museums until he retired in 2005.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed dearly by his loved ones left to cherish and honor his memory.

Harold is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother, Robert R. Amos, Jr.; his three sisters; Juanita Hitchens, Belinda Goodwin, and Patricia Richardson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeann Amos; his two daughters, Joann Amos, Kimberly Amos (Jerome Alves); his brother, Kenneth Amos (Carolyn), and his three grandsons; Logan, Camren, and Jerome.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 15, from 12pm – 1pm at LifePoint Christian Church in Toano, VA. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm. Committal service will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 3pm. Reception to follow committal at LifePoint Christian Church.
