Cheryl, Jay Jay, Pam and Sara. I doubt you remember me but I lived across the street from you on Birch Lane and was your babysitter while your Mom went to do private duty as an RN. She was one of the women who inspired me to become a nurse - a career I retired from 5 years ago.
Our family gave you a kitten named Slugger Greis , who was killed by some neighborhood dogs - that still haunts me!
Just saw this post of your dad´s obit on the BHBL FB page.
I live near Richmond Va now, have two daughters and two grandchildren - both flaming redheads.
If you´d like to communicate at all, my email is [email protected]
Give me condolences to your mom

I wish I could get your address - I am currently in Waeanae Hawaii on island of Oahu.
I grieve with you, Barbara, my dear friend, in your loss ->no matter the amount of preparation, it is a shock to the system....
You loved Jay fiercely, passionately and protectively -> I know how it makes you feel so empty when the object of your love passes to glory.
Even our dear Lord wept over Lazarus.
I pray that God will comfort you

To Barbara and the family and friends of Jay Brundage,
It was both a privilege and a pleasure to have known Jay for decades, first as friendly competitors in area road races and later as patrons of the arts. As runners, we were of similar ability; sometimes Jay was "top dog," and sometimes, after expending every ounce of energy, I could claim that status. Whatever the outcome, Jay was the consummate "good sport." He was the embodiment of a "hail fellow well met," and I truly enjoyed his company.
I last saw Jay at an Adirondack Theater Festival performance at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls a few years back. At that point, it had been years since we last saw one another, but Jay recognized me immediately and made it a point to seek me out. That was Jay, through and through! Although now gone form our midst, Jay will live on as a pleasant memory and a source of inspiration for me, as well as for everyone he touched along the way.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of a man for whom it can be said "lived a life worth living."
