James "Beefy" Heathcote, 67, passed away on November 5, 2023 in Marion Health. He was born in Marion on June 22, 1956.
Beefy lived his entire life in Gas City. On July 2, 1988 he married Christine S. Teegarden. James was employed with General Cable until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, football, NASCAR, a cold beer and a good joke whether it be dumb or dirty. Remember him with a kind thought and a good story whether it be true or pure bull.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Heathcote, Gas City; son Justin (Dee) Heathcote, Hartford City; mother, Alice June (Greek) Heathcote, Upland; brothers, Randy (Cassie) Heathcote, Akron; Marty (Jo) Heathcote, Columbus; Robert (Wendy) Heathcote, Upland; sister, Tami (Russ) Corbin, Gas City; grandchild, Zane Heathcote, Gas City.
James is preceded in death by his father, Robert Heathcote.
