Marlene Jane Sobolik
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marlene Sobolik passed away on Oct. 22nd at the age of 86.
She was born in Glasgow, MT to Margaret and John Martin and was the oldest of 30 grandchildren. She grew up in Fairview, MT and graduated from Sidney High School. After that, she graduated from the College of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, MN.
She was united in marriage to Eston Sobolik on June 22, 1957, and they enjoyed 66 years together.
Early on, Marlene worked at Harper's Clinic, was a member of the Jaycees, and raised 4 children. Later, she enjoyed working in various children's departments at Young Generation, ABC Kiddie Shop and Herberger's. Marlene was true to her Catholic faith and a member of St. Pius X Church. Cooking was her forte and she loved entertaining friends and family, playing bridge and poker and interior decorating.
She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret, father John, and brother Jack, and is survived by her husband, Eston, children Lori (Joe) Lahey, Cami Post, Jeffrey Sobolik, and Jennifer (Clint) Sestrich, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Sharon Shaide, brother Leon (Kim) Martin, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at St. Pius X Church on Friday November 3rd at 11:00am. Memorials can be made to St. John's United Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.

I always looked up to my cousin Marlene. She was such a pillar of strength and beauty. I will miss her and her sweet smile! May God bless her family as they move on with their lives. Marlene may be gone, but she is never forgotten.

I worked with Marlene at Young Generation, she had such style and grace, always dressed to the 9',s and I remember her collecting dolls for her daughter, we all knew they were for her. .
