Natalie Cagle Obituary

Natalie Kay Cagle (48) passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, compassion, and an insatiable curiosity for the world. Natalie was born on December 19, 1975 to parents Terri Kay Dietrich (Smith) and Harold Don Cagle in Terre Haute, Indiana. Natalie's journey through life was as vibrant and dynamic as her free spirit. Born in Indiana, she went on to live in New York City, NY, São Paulo, Brazil, Florida, Austin, Texas, & North Carolina making meaningful connections wherever she called home. She earned a bachelors of Psychology from NYU and master's degree in Social Work from Columbia University, dedicating her career to understanding and supporting others. Her greatest passion was exploring the world. Natalie's travels took her across continents, where she delighted in immersing herself in new cultures, cuisines, and traditions. She was never one to stay in one place for too long, always seeking her next adventure. Natalie is survived by her loving mother, Terri, her sisters, Nicole and Christie, and her cherished nephew, Owen. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, love, and an enduring example of living life fully and authentically. Natalie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends-and in the stories of the many places she left her mark. A private service for immediate family only is being held.

Hail the Traveler

Hail the Traveler! We commit you back from where you came

- to the arms of your ancestors. May there be peace where there was anger.

May there be healing where there was hurt.

Go quickly to the place that your old ones called home.

For those who grieve for your passing, let there be healing.

For those who grieve for who you were, let there be healing.

For those who grieve for what you could have been, let there be healing.

Hail the Traveler. We celebrate your journey.

Love, your soul sister, Amanda

It hurt my heart to know you had gone. I am thankful for all the great times we shared. You taught me to take chances, be spontaneous an find what makes me happy in life.
I will always remember our Florida trip when we were 19. The Natalie's meeting the Greg's on the beach. Your bright light will be missed.

I was very close with Natalie for several years, during her time in Austin, Texas. It was a time of significant hardship and unfortunate relationships for her, but her ability to endure and remain true to herself no matter what always impressed me so much. I was so happy for her when she finally made it out to the east coast and life began to treat her the way she deserved to be treated. Despite the difficult times we both endured individually, we managed to stick together through it all. And I wouldn't have wanted to go through it with anyone else. She was the perfect person, at the perfect time. I can only hope I was that to her as well. I will miss my friend Natalie.
