Passed away peacefully at home after a challenging few years battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Loved and cherished husband of Karen (nee Murray), loved and respected father and father-in-law of Clayton and Jeannette, Morgan and Megan, Justine and Don McLachlan and most treasured Grandad of Josh, and Annabel; Tyler, Aden, Colton; and Lucy, Tom, and Rosie. Loved son of the late Stan and Margaret Peters, brother and brother-in-law of Russell and Noeline Peters (Invercargill), Graham and Kerry Peters (Tapanui), Karen and the late Lawrie Erdman (Invercargill), loved Uncle and great-Uncle of Gregg Peters, Sofia and Harper, Braden and Rocio Peters, Emilia and Thomas, Travis and Steph Peters, Toby and Neve, son-in-law of Tom and the late Fay Rutter, and the late Mervyn Murray, brother-in-law of Derek and Signa Murray (Norway), Rex and Glenys Murray (Riversdale), Leigh (Mandeville), and a loved Uncle and great-Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Trevor's life will be held on Monday, January 25, at 2.00pm at home, 38 Smiths Road, Millers Flat. Seating restricted, please bring a deck-chair. There will be a donation box at the service for the local St Johns and at Trevor's wishes there will be a selection of Peters Genetics Rams up for auction, all proceeds will be going to Southland Charity Hospital (Blair Vining) and Otago Rescue Helicopters. A Sad Loss to a farming legend, I am sending my love from Timaru. Trevor will live on long beyond as his family, Clayton, Jannette and Morgan Megan and Don and Justine, along with Karen and the grandkids will have constant daily interactions with people Trevor truly touched. He made a huge impact on my life.
