We will miss having Russell in our lives. The Bennetts and the Beers have been friends for many years sharing careers, children, marriages and grandchildren.
The attributes we remember most about Russell was his loyalty to friends, his humour and his mateship to our special needs son Stephen.Au revoir Russell for now

My sympathy to family. Russell was in my class at Makarewa School. He was cheerful and such a fun kid. Later as a leading member of the Makarewa Tennis Club, he would pick us all up on a Saturday in his old car and take us to Invercargill to play. We all had so much fun! The car had no radiator cap and would boil before we got to Waikiwi. Then someone would jump out, and tip more water into the radiator! He was a great friend and always remembered

Nancy Carroll King.
