Regina “Gina” Seay Collins of Marshville, NC has passed on to our Lord on January 7, 2022. She was born December 4, 1978 in Halifax, Virginia. Gina was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and coworker. She passed unexpectedly at home with family by her side.
She is survived by her husband, Russ Collins; daughters, Emiley Grace and Kayley Raye; parents, Jimmie and Melva Seay of Wingate, NC; sister to: Stacy Capel (Jerome) of Harrisburg, NC, James Seay (Angie) of Harrisburg, NC and Julie Jester of Lewisville, NC; daughter-in-law of Angie Baucom (Tom) of Bethel, NC. Gina is also survived by many nieces, nephews, her beloved pets Kersey, Sig, Ruger, Kimber, Tikka, and Sarge.
Gina graduated from Wingate University in 2001 and has been a long-time member of the Atrium Health Team, in both Anson and Union Counties. Her professional involvement within human resources and volunteer coordination bolstered her love of our community. Demonstrating unwavering dedication to Hospice of Union and Anson counties, illuminated her passion for coordinating teams and love of veterans, both provided great fulfillment.
Gina loved the Lord, her family, friends, and community. She wholeheartedly expressed this with endless acts of service through her beautiful singing voice, delicious baking, heartfelt crafts, and quick-witted humor. She left a legacy of love and laughter to all that were blessed enough to cross her path.
A celebration of life will be 11 AM, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from the Morgan & Son Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her memory to the We Honor Veterans program, Hospice of Union/Anson County, via their website, https://fundraise.atriumhealthfoundation.org/give/256366/#!/donation/checkout.
Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the Collins family. Please keep Russ and the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

There are no words that can adequately express how amazing Regina was. Our Onboarding Team was blessed to have her become part of our group last March ... since then she made our team a family. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on through us and will have a lasting impact on Atrium Health’s Onboarding program forever. Regina not only helped me grow as a leader but as a mom and a friend. I will miss her tremendously and I’m so grateful to have been privileged to have built so many memories in such a short period of time. Regina loved harder than I’ve ever seen anyone love before. She always talked about her family, pets and love for crafting with such passion. She could definitely be counted on to send a funny video or two a week and an uplifting message when we didn’t even know we needed it.
I pray all who loved her can find comfort and peace during this difficult time- especially her family.

Gina was a beautiful lady, inside and out, and I was blessed to be able to call her a friend. She left everyone in her path with a smile and a lot of times, a hysterical laugh. She was just full of life, taken way too soon. Heaven sure has gained the most beautiful angel. Rest peacefully Gina. Love and prayers for your family.

I’m so sad hearing this news! Regina was beautiful inside and out and had the sweetest smile!
I still have a picture of Regina, Suzanne and Erin at Wingate University graduation. I also found a beautiful and thoughtful card she made for my mom (Lorraine) while going through her things. I’m lifting you all up with prayer, and know that you all and her children can be so proud of their mother . We know for a fact that she is healthy again!
