Sadly Bill passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Diane. Loved Dad and 'Oldie' of Nathan (Riversdale), and Bradley and Nicky. Loved Bill of Max and Henry; Tom and Rachael, Kate and Greg and Minnie, Jack and Rhyarna. Loved son of George* and Vera*; and son-in-law of Dorothy* and Norris* Orchard. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Robynne Innes, Marie and Hugh* Stevens; Geoff Orchard and Alison Elliotte, Joan* and John Harrington, Donald* and Jan* Orchard, Norma* and Malcolm* Davis. Loved Uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A service to honour Bill will be held in J Fraser and Sons' Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Friday, September 12 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. Donations to Awarua RSA Poppy Appeal would be appreciated and can be made at the service.
