William PALMER Obituary

On Saturday August 3, 2024, after a long illness, with the love and care of family and unit staff of Leslie Groves Home and Hospital, Dunedin; aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband, friend, and soulmate of Dawn, adored Dad and father-in-law of Annie and Barrie McLeod (Karitāne), Deborah, Bevan and Deborah, and Michelle and Michael Koenig (Cairns), special Grandad to Sophie, Joshua, and Jacob Palmer; and Louisa and Emilia Koenig. Youngest child of Bill* and Lou* Palmer, of Waikouaiti, treasured little brother of Jacqueline, and Gaynor*, and brother-in-law to Ken*(Cappie) and Bryan*. Loved uncle and loyal friend to many. Thank you for the extraordinary care Bill received from all his wonderful carers at Leslie Groves, Taieri Unit. A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 1.00pm, on Thursday, August 8, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimers Otago would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
