So sad to hear of Bill´s passing. He was a very special man. He enjoyed every sport and was very supportive to those he played with and against. Deepest condolences to all the family. The world is a sadder place without him.

Fond memories for me of Bill that started way back in 70,s when I began working for what was then the S.E.P.S. Bill was an extremely trusting and loyal work mate, things we don't forget over time. My memories of him continued as we shared many sporting moments as members of the Albion rugby club and Gore tennis club. In his quiet and unassuming way it was always a privilege to be in his company. Great days, fun times. Condolences to all Bill's family. RIP old mate.

For my dear friend Bill,

It's 60 years since we first met,
We were so young back then.
The sport we played, the fun we had,
For we were young back then.
The music played when in the band,
For we were young back then.
The friends we made, so many then
For we were young back then.
Like spring and time, changes come, marriages and children too,
Our paths divide,
our memories dear of deeds once shared,
When we were young back then.
Now my friend for we have aged,
Our memories of a faded past,
We have seen the dawn, the gentle waves,
and sand upon the shore.
The light of friendship shining through the
stillness of the past,
Hold still my friend, your work is done
In the setting of the sun.

In fondest memories, your friend Bill xx
