William Ernest:
On Monday 3 April 2017, aged 74. Our Bill passed away surrounded by his loving family at home following a courageous battle nearing 3 years. Dearly loved husband of Maureen. Much loved and admired father of Carol and Tony Dudfield; Daniel and Angela Jenkins; Jill and Mark Hooper. Adored grandfather of Jesse, Cherelle, Wayne, Blake, Matthew, Bethanie, Keira, Spencer, Keagan, Luke, and Jake. And great-grandfather to Eifion, Ahliynah, Millie and Damien. A loved son of the late Harold and Margaret Jenkins; loved brother and brother-in-law and uncle of a multitude of nieces and nephews, each with their own connection to Bill. Also a much loved and cherished friend of Isabel and the late Noel Blanks; and Grandad Bill to Catherine, Adam and Victoria Blanks. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Thursday 6 April at 1.30pm in the Riverton RSA, Palmerston Street. Followed by a private graveside interment.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Messages to 30 Leader Street, Riverton 9822.

Maureen and Jenkins family, from Osborne Street to Orepuki Riverton Highway, been neighbors a couple of times, very sad to hear the news of Bill moving on......he had his health battles and met the challanges head on.....he built the wood boundary fence between us, think I'll name it the Bill Jenkins Wall (Like Trumps)RIP Bill...

A much dearly loved uncle Bill. An amazing man whom we loved so dearly. It's not goodbye Uncle Bill it's see you later. Forever in our hearts and very special memories we treasure always.
