William John "Yogi" JAFFRAY

William JAFFRAY Obituary

Peacefully surrounded by love at Vickery Court, Invercargill, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in his 80th year. Loved partner and friend of Joan Frewen*, and her family. Loved son of Eva* and Stewart* Jaffray. Loved brother of Shirley Ashby*, Alan Jaffray* and Eva Hunt*. A loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Friend to many. As to Yogi's wishes a private cremation has been held in Invercargill. A memorial service will be held at St Kilda Bowling Club, 33 Royal Crescent, St Kilda, Dunedin, on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 10.00am, followed by an interment at the Green Island Cemetery. After sleeping for a week you decided to venture off to be with Joan (Mum, Nana, Grandma). We are sure she has you well organised and settled in at the dinner table. Thank you Yogi, for giving Joan the best years of her life. Thank you for being the special person you were to us all. Thank you for the role you played in all our lives, the father figure, the grandfather figure, the great grand father figure, the friend. Being the humble soul you are, you have no idea the impact you played in all our lives. A man of very few words, but your actions always spoke louder than any words ever could. Thank you to the amazing care from the staff at Vickery Court, and a special thank you to Wendy. Thank you Yogi xxx. You'll be forever cherished. All our love. May, Anna, Jamie, Pete, Izan, Dragus, Ellemay*, Taylor and Zadi.
