William John "Bill" GERKEN

William GERKEN Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Friday May 23, 2025, with Lavenia by his side. Dearly loved husband of Lavenia loved Dad of Shane and Jill, Kerry, David and Brenda, loving Grandad of Danielle, Kate, Rhys, Charlie, Angus, Maisie and great Grandad of Carter, Zara, and Phoebe. Loved son of the late Jack and Lizzie, brother of Lyall, Ken, and Libby, loved by all his nieces and nephews and the extended family. A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at the Gore RSA Function Lounge, Bowler Ave, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Annette & I would like to send our condolences to to the family.I had many great times with Bill & we also got to know your Mother as well as we spent some time with them both in the earlier days(70's).Bill was a great help to me when we arrived down in Gore through Pawsons Transport & then Eastern.Both your parents would stop & yarn if we met on the street.They were great people to have as friends & to know.
