TV shock tonight. Wendy was a well-loved friend from early 1990s at Concept Training, Mackay and through the "Wendy's Pies" era. Then lost contact with this amazing and resilient woman - thinking she was no longer in Mackay.

Don't imagine that the current Pinnacle pies can even 'hold a candle' to the award-winning Wendy's Pies...made by this extraordinary cook and with so much love❤ Maxine Godley, Mackay

Wendy was pivotal in my early growing-up years in Invercargill. Wendy was like a daughter to my mum and dad, Nyra and Frank Boyle, as Wendy got older they were more like sisters. our families were entertwined, we were whanau. Every beautiful baby Wendy produced strengthened our whanau and mum and Wendy said their hearts were like rubber bands and could expand with each new baby that arrived. I felt so lucky to be so involved in the upbringing of these cuzzies. Wonderful memories of; bike rides to Andersons Park, Queen's Park, Oreti Beach, picnics at Thornbury River and dinners at either our place or at the Addies in Waikiwi. Precious. Welcoming. Shared experiences - good and bad (we had each other's backs). Lots of talking and lots of laughter. Wendy you cooked beautiful meals even when you would have been struggling. Your children and grandchildren are a testament to your aroha. You are already missed. xxxx Kath
