Suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, August 3, 2018. Dearly loved husband and best buddy of Bronwyn. Cherished son of Valerie and Bryon*. Adored Dad and role model of Daniel and Kate Affleck, Richard and Kate Affleck, Katherine Affleck and Aidan Charleton, Margot Affleck and Brandon Rodger. Poppa Wayne of Maisie and Belle, Max and Ted, Maddox and Beau. Special big brother and friend of Neil Affleck and Kate Feaver, Wendy Affleck and Peter Richards, and Stewart* and Hilary*. Loved by Matthew, Holly and Gina Thwaites and Poppa of Liam, Jack and Finn. Treasured brother-in-law of Doug and Daphne Lindsay, Alasdair and Jude Lindsay, Lesley and Paul Horner, Lonzi and Grace* Arnott. Loved and fun uncle, and great mate to many. Wayne's impact on our lives will be enduring. A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held in J Fraser and Sons' Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Friday, August 10, at 2.00pm, followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery.

AFFLECK, Wayne Bryon:
On behalf of Invercargill City and Southland, I wish to express our deepest sadness for the loss of Wayne Bryon Affleck. As one of the founders of the Burt Munro Challenge, an international event and as Deputy Chairman of Venture Southland (2001 to 2012) he achieved so much for both the sporting clubs and the business community.
