A year has passed, the seasons turn,
Respect and love was yours, well earned.
A gentle hand, a loving heart,
Forever our wise matriarch.
Your laughter rings to ease the pain,
In every sunbeam, and in rain.
The lessons learned, the wisdom shared,
A legacy of love, you cared.
Though tears may fall, and grief may sting,
Your spirit lives in joyful things.
In every star, in every breeze,
Your memory sings, among the trees.
So let us smile, and raise a gin,
Be grateful for our upbringing.
Not here in body, our lives to share,
But in our thoughts you're always there,
Your love remains, in hearts so true,
A mother's love will see us through.
