Dear Arthur
It is many years since our paths crossed but I want to acknowledge Tui's friendship and collegiality when we worked at the Christchurch Star. Tui was already working there - as the receptionist in the newsroom - when I joined as a cadet reporter. She was always generous with her time and helped and supported me with great patience and understanding. Besides that, she was a good friend and a fun member of the small band of female staff who often socialised together. Reading her death notice in The Press, I can see that she was well loved among her family, friends and community, who will, I'm sure, miss her greatly.
With warm memories of Tui, I send you and your family deepest sympathy.
With kind regards,
Jane Edwards
