Terry STOWERS Obituary
Terry (Terence Ernest):
Peacefully on June 5, 2022, aged 79, at Thornleigh Park Rest Home, New Plymouth. Dearly loved son of Dulcé and Ralph. Loved brother of Alex*, Ailsa and Joe, Kevin and Carolyn, Sharyn and Hamish, Tony and Lyn, half brother of Trevor and Lois. Cherished Uncle of 13 and Great-Uncle of 12. Fondly known as Terry the Teacher. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated. A service to celebrate Terry's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth, on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed to his tribute page.

Mr Stowers! Sorry to hear about your passing! You were such a great support whilst teaching us at Bell Block school and then to have the same student years and years later in your taxi! Thank you for always looking out for us!!! Such a big heart! Rest in peace Mr Stowers!

Dennis and I were saddened to hear that Terry had passed away. Our thoughts are with his family. We were in the flat above Terry in Maratahu Street for about 6 years until 2020. He was a lovely neighbour.

Our sympathy to Terry's family. He worked very hard at piecing together the family tree of our Frew/Nuttall relations in the south, and met my late mother, Elsie Scobie (nee Frew), on occasions which she enjoyed immensely. He will be sadly missed as our link to the wider family.

He will be sadly missed and did a great job of keeping track of distant family.
