I am sad to hear of the passing of my old mate Tam (TImtam). Tam was my supervisor back at his days with Placemakers and I always held him in the highest of regard. A hard working man with a heart of gold. My condolences to Toni and Thomas. Rest easy my bro

When Tam was in the building at work I always new - he had a presence he carried, a true gentleman. Kind, warm, and real. He was a dedicated worker with an ethic that would see him with constant late lunches and coffees. He touched my life in a positive way and I will miss his early morning greetings on a Monday morning that would go something like this. "Welcome home Elizabeth, we are back into it" " Home I would cry," " yes this is our work home". Indeed he was like a work father/friend/confidant. Always remembered for a beautiful smile, and the last of a true Gentleman manner. Rest in Peace Tam - watch over us - and have the coffee on for the day we meet again. Elizabeth ICC

I had the privilege of knowing Tamati for 7 years at the council, we both had a passion for the outdoors, the sea and mutton birds.
he introduced me to some wonderful people and some spectacular places. i will always be in his debt for allowing me to experience these places and enjoy his company, he was a big man with a bigger heart and a love of giving. i will miss our korero at work and his support in the trying environment of local government.
sleep well my friend, and yes I will keep visiting those places you held dear as I know you will be watching. Po Marere toku hoa. ma te wa. Anaru ( andy ) Johnson
