Dear Finlay Family,
I can`t help but remember that Stewart was with us from the beginning, one of the original ones who gathered when the Brother Witness Lee came to NZ in March 1971. You also lived at Lavery Place, when a number of us were able to purchase houses there. Though we all scattered in time to other places, there was always an attachment among each of us - due to those few years together there...
I loved my brother Stewart, especially his gift with playing the guitar.
I often wake with the hymn, "Life at best is very brief, like the falling of a leaf, be in time..."
Lord thank You for the mercy You have shown us in bringing us into Your recovery, Showing us Your eternal purpose, and how to feed on You, to be able to run the course You have set before us!
O Lord! We just love You!!!

Stewart was not only a dear brother in Christ but also my mentor.

He worked in the audio industry, yet without reference to any university degree he brought his familiarity with that field to the Lord and into the meeting hall as his service to the Lord and to the Lord's church.

He was a prolific producer of church songs tapes and continued to serve Christ and the church through the many technological advances such as when video became useful to the feeding of the the Lord's sheep. Then computers followed and broadcast and the manipulation of recordings He just kept advancing in what he could offer to the Lord.

He and his family would transport an entire car load of audio equipment from Hamilton to Takapuna for our conferences and one time I found him with his tool kit fixing a problem. It had to be done quickly but he was not anxious. Rather he was at peace working as fast as he could, relying on the Lord as his wisdom.

Stewart's service to the Lord has been a pattern to me and has been reproduced in many others. May this serve to comfort the hearts of all those who loved Stewart.

Dear sisters Christine, Sarah and the entire Finlay family,
Our sincerest condolences and it is reassuring & comforting to know brother Stewart is with his Lord whom he loved!
A chorus of a hymn written by Mrs F J Crosby, (1820-1915), music by Mr W Doane says,
"Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe on His gentle breast
There by His love o'ershaded,
Sweetly my (Stewart) soul doth
rest."
Back in the early 1980s, I recall brother Stewart being a hidden and a vital member serving the Lord on the video and audio cassette tape service group at the meeting hall on Taharoto Road, Takapuna.
Secondly, brother Stewart and sister Christine, sought some fellowship with me as they planned to go to attend the 1 year, Living Stream Ministry, Full-time Training, Middle-Age section in Anaheim (FTTA-MA) because they were both very touched by the Lord's operating and His divine, eternal life and nature growing within their eldest daughter, Sarah.
So, daily praying that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions and the God of all comfort truly and deeply comfort each one of your broken heart wounds as you all continue your journey together, to keep running the race God has set for each one of you.
Much love in Christ
Sister Ailua Ruth Fatialofa, church in Auckland, hall 5.

Stewart will always be in our hearts. According to Philippians 3:17, Stewart lived the life of Christ, a life we can observe and imitate.
A real pattern for us all.
We already miss him greatly.
