RIP Steve, it was both a pleasure and honour to have knowen such a genuine good guy! I will miss your quick wit! Your one liners (as will josh who used to shake his head and smile at your jokes sometimes with eyebrows raised) and the humour you provided to our work days. the stories you told about your times in various work places your family and your grandies and your reminders whilst i was drinking a bottle of coke how you used to clean the toilets at mt cook with that stuff! We never got to have our chat with catherine about the taxidermy. but i will remember you kicking me in the back of the leg when you noticed her walk in.lol and the look of peoples faces when we mentioned it! You will always be thought of fondly and never without a smile. Treasured and remembered always, kelly, chris, shannon and Josh x

To a man who I meet only a few years ago. Such a kind soul. You will be missed by many. So glad you came into my life. Say HI to Dweeb when you see him.
Massive hugs to Jo.

I knew Steve as a work mate in the early 70s and when I moved away from Christchurch with my husband he took over my job at Satterthwaites. I remember him as a lovely young man and sad to read his family have lost him so young. Much love to you all.

So sad to hear the news. Will treasure the many memories we shared of camping, boating on 'ANTS' and of the roadies we had. My thoughts go out to all the family. Rest in peace Steve.
