Stanley JONES Obituary

Stan passed away unexpectedly at his home in Riverton on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Aged 89 years. Loved husband of the late Beverley Jones and special companion of Mary Butterfield. Dearly loved father of the late Christopher and the late David, Richard, Stan and father-in-law of Bridgitte. Loved Chopper of Annabelle and Alice, Jonny, William and Charlotte. A service will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Wednesday, February 4 to celebrate Stan's life. A private cremation to follow. Very saddened to hear that Stan had paassed away on Saturday. A very kind generous Man who did not want others to know just how generous he was. Thotoughly devoted to his Mary he had manty stories to tell and in latter months he woud relate several them to me. Thoughts and Prayers with his family but especially to Mary Sabin and Claire Southland may never know just how generous this wonderful man was. I will be overseas when the funeral is on but will watch the live stream on Wednesday. RIP Stan Paddy and Carolyn O'Brien.
