On December 16, 2021, at the Otago Community Hospice; aged 49 years. Loved wife and best friend of Craig for 31 years, adored mum of Kirstin and Laura, loved daughter of Joy and the late Les Gardyne, much loved sister and sister-in-law of Andrew and Elsa, Linda, Malcolm and Debbie, Neil and Pip, Lisa, Dayle, and Steven Gerken (Melbourne), and a loved and respected daughter-in-law of Marty and Dianne Gerken (Timaru).
