Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time

I´ve only just found about Shaun´s passing today. I´m really saddened to hear about it. Shaun and I went to Verdon College in Invercargill together. I got to know him well during our 5th and 6th form years. Later on we flatted together (along with Mark Tait) for about a year. I last saw Shaun about 7 years ago in Wellington. Shaun is just the loveliest guy - one of the nicest people I´ve ever met. We shared a lot of good times and laughter. RIP Shaun.

Our sincere condolences and our deepest sympathy. John and I knew Shaun through his committed work with TOP and I especially had the pleasure of working beside him in the office, last election. Shaun's tenacity and passion for a better quality of life was strongly evident in his attitude and work ethic. We will miss him dearly. Alofa atu Shaun.

Kia ora friends and family of Shaun,

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Shaun. I knew Shaun through his volunteer work with TOP. He gave a huge amount of time to the party and his pursuit of a universal basic income. Whenever we interacted, he would always ask insightful questions. It was clear to me that he was incredibly intelligent and a wonderful person to be around.

Public Health Association (Southern) sends our deepest condolences to Shaun's family. We valued Shaun's passion and encyclopaedic knowledge of public health topics, which he enjoyed discussing at our meetings and sharing in our written submissions. As a deep thinker, he was a fierce advocate for social justice, human and planetary health, and health equity for all. His legacy remains. Rest in peace, Shaun.

Shaun was a thoughtful and supportive member of the Dunedin branch of the Child Poverty Action Group. He had a genuine passion for making the world a more equitable place. All the best to his whanau at this very sad time

Shaun was a very valued member of Basic Income New Zealand. He contributed much to our group in our quest for every New Zealander to enjoy a good and dignified life as a basic human right. Moe mai moe mai ra e hoa. Tino nui te aroha ki to whanau.

Our condolences to all. Shaun was an amazing guy, fighting for the underdog in our society. We will miss him.
