Rudolf BURGERS Obituary

Peacefully on August 20, 2025 at Dunedin surrounded by family and love. It is with much sadness that Rae announces the passing of her loved and cherished husband Rudie. Beloved only son of John* and Connie* Burgers. Loved and respected brother and brother-in-law of Willy* and Joop Van Woudenberg (Holland), Tineke and Henk Geers, Loesje and Wayne Morrison, and Hennie and Brian Pay. Loved uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his fur baby Elly. Special thanks to the staff in ward 8C Dunedin Hospital, Oncology and St John Ambulance for their care and support. A celebration of Rudie's life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, at 1.00pm, in the South Otago Town & Country Club, 1 Yarmouth Street, Balclutha, then leaving for Balclutha Lawn Cemetery. Rudie's funeral service will be livestreamed, with the link available on Leishman's website.
