Ronald Stanley John (Ron):
Peacefully, on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Gore Hospital, aged 88 years. Very much loved husband of the late Margaret, treasured father, father-in-law, Grandad and great-Grandad of Peter and Johanna, Reagan (Auckland), Matthew, and Benjamin; Dianne and the late Peter Thompson, Trudy and the late Scott, Lucy and Ayden; and Jason Thompson. A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held in Calvin Community Church, Robertson Street, Gore, on Thursday, December 24, at 11.00am, then leaving for Charlton Park Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at Gore Hospital and donations will be accepted at the service for the Gore Hospital Family Room. Messages to 174 Broughton Street, Gore, 9710.

Our sincere condolences in Christ to all the Family. The Thanksgiving Service for Ron was a fitting tribute to a godly, trusting follower of Jesus. Ron showed loving prayerfulness, practical help, and constant perseverance in his lengthy Christian witness throughout all of life's varied experiences. Ron and Margaret have been much appreciated friends of ours for decades. May the ever-faithful Good Shepherd strengthen, support, and sustain you all after such a testing year of changes and challenges. Love and prayers from Roy and June McKenzie, Gore.
