Our families were close in those early Invercargill years. Although we moved north the connections and contact continued from the strong foundation!!! Two Robyn´s Warren and Ken. I was fortunate ??? to travel to Invercargill for work in the 90´s the highlight was to stay with Robyn and Warren that relationship continued whether it was catching Robyn in Auckland or popping in to Wanaka in later years. That laugh and smile is still ringing in my ears. My thoughts are with you all today as you celebrate an amazing life led by an amazing lady. Much love to all the Broughton´s from all the Eglinton´s x Robyn,Ken, Lee and Mark. Xxx

Dear Warren, Kirsty and all family,
Many kindest thoughts of Sympathy and Love in the passing of Robyn, truly a much-respected lady.
I have many fine memories of Robyn sharing her experiences throughout our Netball commitments at trainings or when some Rule clarifications were required, these times and many others I will always treasure.
I have a photo on my office wall with us both at the previous (2014) SISS, where she has a brilliant smile on her face, always will be remembered.

I was really saddened to hear of the passing of Robyn (Mrs Broughton). I enjoyed being in her PE class and the support she gave me in my own sporting pursuits. We disagreed about netball being the best sport and I'll always remember being told to tuck my shirt in when I did play netball. Love to all the family, she will be missed.

Dear Warren and family
Robyn was a very dear work collogue and friend. I really appreciated her work ethic and professionalism. We had many discussions around work, sport and family. Robyn has influenced me in how I work with students and her no nonsense approach. She had a way of saying like it was. Both Sharon and I have had something to do with the Broughton's since Kirsty was at high school. We have many found memories of Robyn

So privileged to have been coached and mentored by Mrs Broughton (at Verdon College) and Rob (for Sting). So many great memories from those days. Rob had an incredible passion that she instilled in all of her players and teams. Rob built a culture of whanau where we always wanted to play our best for each other. A clever, talented, kind and compassionate lady who taught me so much in sport & life. Thank you Rob & thinking of Kirsty, Warren and your whanau at this sad time xo

I have wonderful memories of a very special friend from our Otagu uni days & with Netball - playing together for Otago , travelling to Australia with a NZ University team & enjoying every minute of the times we shared. It is hard for me to come to terms with losing Robyn as she was such an inspiration to so many. Ours was a friendship I will never forget. With sincere thoughts to the family from Leonie Summerville ( nee Skerrett)

I will forever retain wonderful memories of a friend, a great tennis partner and at times mentor. Rest well Robyn, perhaps if there is a later life we will get to play a set or two. I am quite saddened and most sorry for Warren and family.

Warren and Family.
I haven´t met many of her calibre in a lifetime of teaching.
Committed, compassionate, firm but fair, incisive and intelligent..... and what a sense of humour.
A great Mother and Companion.

My very very deepest sympathy. Robyn was a great person I got to know in 1965 when she was teaching at James Hargest, and thanks Robyn I can still touch my toes and do the splits. You taught me so much about netball. Rest easy, miss and love you.

Robyn was the PE teacher at St Catherine's where she was deeply respected and loved by the Sisters and students alike. When the College merged with Marist she too became part of the new Verdon College staff. Her Verdon netball team became a top college team and from there her coaching skills at Sting and then Steel will forever be remembered. Her coaching skills were only outclassed by her care and love for all those she taught.
We, the Dominican Sisters honour her with gratitude for all she accomplished and assure her family she is not forgotten nor are you her family as you farewell her physical presence. Our prayer and love is with you all. Sr Judith Robinson op

I will always remember my PE teacher, Mrs Broughton, who made that PE class an effort and a challenge. The same with netball for her Verdon teams. Robyn led and guided with a natural enthusiasm, generosity and her strength was her passion and smile. I have always had and will have a fond place for your wife, mother (in-law), and nan. Robyn was a great role model for the girls & women entrusted to her. My sympathy to you. Maria Sheehan, Australia.
