Our Mighty Matai has finally fallen, at home with his family on Monday, 16 October 2017, aged 88 years. Loving husband of the late Leila, father and father-in-law of Meree and Maurice Yorke, Patricia and Peter Poole, Dale and Dennis Radford, Lex Chisholm, and the late Bill and Annette Brunton and loved Pop of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private service will be held with an informal celebration of Rob's life (along with a drink or two) to be held at 3.00pm on Saturday, 21 October, at the Tokanui Rugby Club. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr Abraham Visagie and Clutha Health First, the team at Hospice Southland and Southland Hospital District Nursing, especially Judith, for their care and support to enable Dad to stay at home. Messages to 28 Melbourne St, Windsor, Invercargill.
