I am so saddened to hear of Richard's (Dick to us at OB's) passing. He was an outstanding person, or as my father would have said, 'a fine man'.
From when I first met him, me as a new third former, and he, the head hostel prefect, he was always kind, fair and respectful. I later had dealings with him as a fellow rowing parent at OB's, and later as a veterinarian, both pre and during his AQ days, and he remained the same. He made the 'audit' days much less stressful!!!!
Sending hugs and thoughts to Jo, Fraser, and family

So very saddened to hear of Dicks passing - thoughts go out to Jo and family.
As a vet classmate he is remembers with great fondness for his warm and caring nature - always a smile.
He will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him. We had a lovely time with him at our Hanmer reunion - a wet cold weekend but thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Sending Love and my deepest condolences to Richard's Family and Friends.

I had the pleasure of knowing Richard over the last year or so. While living Richard in Balclutha we spent many nights sharing stories and laughter, with the occasional friendly "Dad" advice from Richard.

I will forever be grateful for the time I got to know him.
