Sunrise 1928 - Sunset 2024

Loved husband of the late Lila and the late Shirley. Treasured Dad of Sharon Mainland, Bronwyn and Ian Beker, the late Bob and Karen and her fiancé Paul. Loved stepfather of the Hilton family; Garry*, Wayne and Jan, Maurice* and Sue, Karen*, and David and Jacqui. Treasured by his brothers and sisters; Faye* and Basil*, Jock* and Marie*, Keith*, Shirley* and Ted*, Heather and Fred*, and Errol*. Much adored Grandad of 25 grandchildren and a Great-Grandad of 33. As per his wishes, Rex has donated his body to the Otago Medical School and a wake will be held for him at a later date. A huge thank you to all the staff and carers at Vickery Court for his wonderful and loving care (and for laughing at his jokes). He will be greatly missed. No flowers, please.
