Christine, Jack and family. Very sorry to hear of Richard's passing. Have fond memories of the discussions we had on family and life when he occasionally popped in for a visit. Sorry I am unable to be with you and share in the celebration of his life. Notwithstanding my thoughts and love are with you all. Cousin Alan

To those of you here today who knew Richard in the latter part of his life, as I did, he generously shared his life adventures with me and a small group of friends over many cups of coffee and tea, cake and kai. Those shared moments revealed to me that Richard had lived a full life of work, play, tension and adventure. And I am a better person for having known him, supped with him and now grieve for him with everyone who took the time today to say goodbye. Haere ra ehoa ma. Goodbye my friend.
