I was very sad to read of Reece's passing. When I arrived in Invercargill in 2013 to work at the Tiwai Smelter for the year, Reece took me under his wing and introduced me to the local cycling scene. He was such a great bloke who has gone way too early. I consider him a true friend.

Reading the Obits from Canterbury this morning was shocking to say the least when I read this one. What a loss of one of the good guys and huge loss of humour. Our family are shocked. RIP Reece and HUGE aroha to the Sharp & McDonald whanau.

I´m guna miss our coffee catch ups and epic yarns. A great man who gave so much to the community. My thoughts are with Jo and the family at this time.
