Ramon REID Obituary

Peacefully (a week after a heart attack) at Timaru Hospital on February 27, 2025; aged 90 years. Cherished partner of Raylee (in McKenzie Care Village, Geraldine). Dearly loved dad of Mike (Michael), and Jo (Joanna) Rodger and father-in-law of Brett. Loved Poppy of Kristen, Kobe, Tia-Jayne, Mackay and Ada. Valued brother of Sandra Simpson, and Graham Reid (both dec), brother-in-law of Ron (dec), and Bev. Loved uncle of Paul, Tania, David, Karen, Kim and the Russell nieces and nephews of his former wife Annabel (Anne) Reid. Kind friend to Raylee's children and their partners, Anna and Lee, Scott and Karen, and Kerri Allen. Ray was a quiet, very private man with a dry sense of humour, who loved golf and animals. "Ray certainly made the most of his time, I don't think there would be too many that played as many (golf) rounds as him" (quoted by Paul Reid).
