Philip JOHNSTON Obituary
24 January 1966 –
23 December 2025
Anna, Irene, Graham and families would like to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support received following the devastating loss of Phil. We truly appreciate the heartfelt messages, beautiful flowers, meals, baking, thoughtful gifts, daily visits, phone calls, texts, and those who travelled near and far to be with us. Our sincere thanks also to J Fraser & Sons for their compassionate care, to Sharyn Payne for leading a beautiful service, to those who spoke and honoured Phil so meaningfully, to Phil's Decom family for the moving guard of honour, and to the Arrowtown and Frankton Emergency Services for their swift response and compassion at the time of our loss. Your kindness, compassion and generosity have carried us through the darkest days and brought comfort when it was needed most. We are deeply grateful. My heart was broken that day. In time, I know it will slowly mend, as my gorgeous guy would want it to, although he will always remain part of it. It is the wrap-around care and support I have received, and continue to receive, that is gently helping to piece me back together. Please know that your kindness truly matters more than you realise. I am deeply humbled and incredibly grateful.
They say grief is the price we pay for love. If that is true, then loving him was worth every second, and I would do it all over again.
Anna
