Philip JOHNSTON Obituary

1966-2025
It is with much heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Phil due to a medical event on December 23, 2025. Much loved "gorgeous guy" and soul mate of Anna and cherished bonus dad of Ruby. Loved father of Kady and Abbey. Beloved son of Irene and Graham and brother of Tania, Russell and Raewyn, dearly loved son-in-law, uncle and cousin. A very special Big Buddy to Abel. A service to celebrate Phil's life will be held at the Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill, on Monday, December 29, at 11.30am. Private thereafter. Messages to 164A Chelmsford Street, Invercargill 9810, or to Phil's tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes where livestream details are available.

I worked with Phil a number of times over the years and I always remember his humor and his ability to get the job done. Phil was an all round great guy and will be missed by many. Sorry I will not be able to attend.

To Irene & Graham, surprised and shocked to read of the passing of Philip. Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathy on your loss. We shared a few laughs and a couple of beers in our younger days. Will be missed by all. Apologies but I will be unable to attend the service.
