It seems not too long ago that we lunched and spent time at Plimmerton and Raumati Beach.

Fond memories of Peter,especially in early 1980's when I had shares in race horses with Lester Smith,Peter Kerslake, Cleland Murdoch and many others.However,in mid 1970,a couple of years after I had won a certain bike race in Southland. I was at Ascot Park Hotel, and after a couple or red wines,actually could have been couple of bottles " each" ,Peter and Mike Brown asked me if I would mind going on their racehorse heart treadmill,just to see how human athlete heart compare to top line racehorse. Well after being wired up with tens pads all over my body,and jogging on treadmill they gave me their opinion. " If you were a racehorse, you could win 2 x Melbourne Cup in same day".That information gave me so much confidence to continue on and push my body to do 4 x Hawaiian Ironman in later years.So THANK YOU Peter and Mike Brown. Oh...the McGrath boys be happy as I won the 1st Marist Triathlon....LOL
