Wee assure Jeanette and all Peter´s whanau of our warmest thoughts and prayers as he is farewelled. My memories of Peter go back to Auckland Young Anglican activities and fellowship in the 1950s. I also recall a weekend of Military Training when Peter and I escaped army boredom on Sunday by spending half the day at church. Like other young men of the day he went on to servi e in the Church Army and I was ordained into 64 years of ministry!! We overlapped with Peter and his family in his Tokoroa days and again in Hawkes Bay. Peter inspired many with his commitment to Christ and his Christlike championing of people at society's edges.
