IRWIN, Patricia Ellen (Pat) (nee Timpany):
Peacefully at Southland Hospital, on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Loved wife of the late Thomas Kevin Irwin. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Tony Irwin and Julie-anne van den Arend, Mary and Ronald Dickens, Carmel Irwin and Paul Kyne (Wellington), Brian and Zina Irwin (Sydney). Dearly loved Nanny and Grandma of Luke, Sean, Tarra Irwin; Sarah and Murray Clarke, Matthew Dickens, Bruce and Katie Dickens; Therése and John Grevatt, Alex Kyne; Jack, Grace, and Jonathan Irwin. Dearly loved great-grandmother of her seven great-grandchildren. Our thanks to Ascot Retirement Village and the Rehab Unit, Southland Hospital for their care.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Theresa's Catholic Church, Perth Street, at 1.30pm, on Wednesday, November 11. Then leaving for the Eastern Cemetery. Messages to 92 Joseph Street, or to Pat's tribute page at frasersfunerals.co.nz/tributes.

Dear Brian, Carmel, Mary and Tony and all the Irwin Family,
I share your sadness on losing your Mum and our wonderful Aunty Pat. I will never forget the kindness and generosity that she showed all her nieces and nephews which set such an example to all our families to follow. Countryside vacations with our Morton Mains cousins are still some of my best childhood memories.
Peter, Patrick and I were lucky to visit Aunty Pat in March this year before Covid problems shut things down. It was as though nothing had changed. She talked and laughed and was still so interested in what we up to. I asked her whether she remembered all the mischief that we got up to. She said that she did but forgave us.
Sincere best wishes to you all as you celebrate the memory of Aunty Pat.

To the Irwin family, it was with deep sorrow I learnt of Pat's death, I will miss my visits with her and her positive outlook to life was always so wonderful.
May she rest in peace.
