Best teacher I ever had! The original "Dunner Stunner"!! Had her at Green Island Primary School. She made Marilyn look almost ugly by comparison..... Anne Margaret didn't stand a chance, either! Outrageously beautiful on both the OUTSIDE and INSIDE, at the same time. And she drove a really cool 2l metallic Ford Capri sports car....... as an ultimate fashion accessory! She really rocked our crusty old school piano (her rock and roll renditions sure "blew out the dusty cobwebs" for sure). Marshall didn't just get two wives for the price of one..... he got a total goddess. I finally graduated from my school as the DUX, and it was all her wonderful fault. In 1978, she turned up at the school's 125th. Talk about nearly 40 going on 20!! We also ended up together in the hospital stroke ward..... in opposite rooms. Her suffering was almost unbearable to me, to see.... she tapped on my window, forced a painful smile, and gave me a huge thumbs up (I felt so hopelessly unworthy). Delivering a 4 minute eulogy at her funeral, last Wednesday, at Knox Church, I looked sideways at her open coffin, and deeply felt she didn't really belong in there. When they put the lid back on, and wheeled her out past my aisle, I quietly waved goodbye. At that moment, I lost it, and got a huge dose of the blubbs. Pat and I go way back to 1962. Irreplaceable, and huge influence on my life!!
