Following the sudden loss of our beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunty and great-aunt, Elizabeth (Liz), we express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shown us such kindness, warmth, sympathy and support during this incredibly difficult time.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the St John ambulance staff, doctors, nurses, close friends, and to Sarah in the Emergency Department at Kew Hospital, for the care, compassion and dignity shown to Liz. We also extend our special thanks to Ewan Adam for his dedicated care to Elizabeth over the years. Nigel and his team at Avenal Park Funeral Home for their kindness, and guidance in the respectful care of Liz. Thank you to Lynley McKereow for the beautiful and fitting tribute to Elizabeth, and for your warmth, guidance and support, which we hold close to our heart. To all who visited, and sent flowers, baking, cards, messages and phone calls, we will be eternally grateful for your love and thoughtfulness. Our sincere thanks also to everyone who attended Liz's funeral service - your presence truly reflected the high regard in which she held, right down to the guard of honour from Altrusa, Friendship Force, Travel Club and the Women's Club. We also thank the Windsor Church community for behind-the-scenes work in hosting such a meaningful service, including the generous morning tea. Lastly, a very special thank you to everyone, past and present, at PR Law. The personal and heartfelt tributes from the entire firm meant so much to us. Thank you for everything you did for Liz over the past 64 years. Linley and Laura will always look to PR Law as Elizabeth's second family, and will forever hold you all in the highest regard. We will always remember Liz's dedication to PR Law, right until the very end, and the professional relationships she shared with you all. We are also deeply humbled for the beautiful tribute of Liz's seat at Stadium Southland - such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture. Please accept this message as our personal acknowledgement of thanks. We know that words will never feel like enough, but we are eternally grateful for the kindness, love and ongoing support shown to us during devastating times.
Linley and Geoff, Laura and Brendan, Michael and Nicole, Ross, Beth Smith and family, Iain and Caroline MacDonald.
