James McKINLAY Obituary
Formerly of Eastbourne, Lower Hutt, passed away peacefully in Tauranga on February 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Pat for 57 years. Cherished father of Fiona, Grant, and Christine. Beloved grandad of Grace, Seth, Aiden, and Dante. Loved brother, uncle, and friend to many in New Zealand and overseas. A family service will be held in Tauranga on Wednesday 7 February at 5.00pm. The livestream can be watched, and tributes left at legacyfunerals.co.nz. Dear Pat and family Sorry to hear of Jim´s passing. I thoroughly enjoyed watching his family service online hearing about the lovely times he shared with everyone.
He certainly was a lovely person.

I remember Jim as a fine human being who I was fortunate to come to know principally as a member of the Eastbourne Bowling Club. He was always friendly and generous with his time. A man of strong values who I came to admire and value as a friend and, I may add, someone with a refreshing sense of humour. Kay and I extend our sympathy to Pat and family. We will all miss him greatly.
