My first memory of Nola is as Nurse Powell who looked after my Grandmother Richmond Gardiner. That would have been in the 60s. Grandma was in Kew hospital for months with Breast cancer. Nurse Powell used to take me to help her while Mum and Dad spent weekends visiting with Grandma. I used to go home with masks and played nurses. She became Sister Powell. I'm hoping my memories are correct. Later as a teenager I ran into her and I used to babysit for her and Norm. She was such an amazing woman. And they were a great couple. Lovely memories of Nola. She really looked after me during Grandma's illness. Condolences to her family.

I worked with Nola at Jubilee Hospital where she worked harder than anyone else there. We were the last to leave when the hospital shut so shared many chats together. A great boss who was one of the team. Rest in peace Cuffy x
