Neville AGNEW Obituary

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family at Southland Hospital, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Joyce for 62 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Faye and Royden Brown, Barbara and Paul Lester, Pauline Chapman and Maree and Paul Burke. Treasured grandad of James and Lana, Kylie and Richard, Andrew and Kara Brown, Mackenzie and Sarah, Alexander and Hannah, Ceara and Ben Ryan; Ryan and Ashley Lester, Erin and Feyre, Jonathan, Harrison, Georgina and Joe; Cerese and Tamantha and Taylor and Hadlee. A very special great-grandad to his 16 adored great-grandchildren. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Fred* and Reene* Wall, Bill* and Isobel* Agnew and Allan and Vanessa Scobie. Special thanks to the incredible staff at both Bupa Ascot and Southland Hospital, for the care, love and respect they have shown. A service to celebrate Neville's life will be held at Windsor Community Church, 19 Windsor Street, Invercargill at 1.30pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026 with a private cremation to follow. Dear Aunty Joyce, Faye, Barbara, Pauline, Maree, and your families.
My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Uncle Neville was a big part of our lives when we were children, such a kind and gentle man with a cheeky sense of humour, we adored him and I will always treasure the memories he created for us.
