Neal Giddings Obituary

Neal Arden Giddings, 68, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle fought with grace and strength.
Born on December 2, 1957, in Algona, Iowa, Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nettie Giddings, and his son Jessie Joseph. His Siblings Gordon, Grover, Gary, and Roger.
He is Survived by his siblings Craig, and Gail; his children Jahu, Dylan, Amber, and Jesse; life partner Kathy Pleasant; and his grandchildren Jahu Jr., Emily, Cheyenne, and Mia - all of whom brought him endless pride and joy.
Neal was known for his strong work ethic and kind heart. He spent most of his life running a backhoe and was never one to shy away from a hard day's work. Outside of work, he found peace in the outdoors - fishing, hunting morel mushrooms, and enjoying the beauty of nature. A true lover of music, especially the blues, Neal also had a passion for photography, often capturing live bands and the energy of the moment through his lens.
He adored animals, especially his beloved dog, Sweetie Pie, and was a friend to all - a social butterfly who never met a stranger. Neal's spirituality was evident in his morals, the compassion he showed to others, and the gentle way he cared for the world around him.
Services for Neal will be held at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home, 1270 Business Route 5, Camdenton, MO 65020. A memorial gathering will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Neal fought hard during his journey, and his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace and can begin his next adventure. His spirit and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
