Eileen Rainville Obituary

Eileen V. Rainville, 90, of Manchester, NH, died June 30, 2024.

Born in Providence, RI on March 17, 1934, she was the daughter of Fred and Rose (Fortier) Rainville. 

She graduated from Manchester High School West, Class of 1952.  She earned a degree from Mount Saint Mary College in 1956.

Eileen was a dedicated educator who loved watching children learn and grow.  Until her retirement, she taught in Cranston, RI. In 1990, she was awarded Outstanding Teacher of the Year.  

Eileen led a life filled with faith, love, and compassion for others. Devoted to her Catholic belief, she was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Manchester, NH.

She loved shopping. She had a deep appreciation for opera as well as classical music. Eileen studied classical piano for several years.  Those who knew her will never forget her strong-willed personality as well as her kind and selfless ways.  Her friends at Holy Cross Health Care Center were a blessing to her.  

She was predeceased by her brother, Norman C. Rainville in 2015.  She will be deeply missed by her friends at Holy Cross Health Care Center and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Services: A wake will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10 AM in the chapel of Holy Cross Healthcare Center, 357 Island Pond Road, Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in the chapel, with Rev. Fr. Paul Montminy officiating.

Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
