Monica O'CONNELL Obituary

Monica passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026. Loved wife of Richard (Dick/Rick) of 58 years. Precious mother and mother-in-law of Derek, Kevin, Nathan and Claire. Cherished Grandmother of Joshua, Neve, Ruby and Nora. Loved and treasured sister of Pauline and Roger Lundy, Margaret and Arnold Spencer and the late Brian. Requiem Mass to honour and celebrate Monica's life will be held at St Mary's Basilica, Tyne Street, lnvercargill, on Thursday, April 9 at 1.00pm.

Still have fond memories of the good old days at the Woodlands Rugby Club, Monica being a regular attender with the other rugby ladies of the Woodlands/Seaward Downs district. Dear Dick and family.
I was sad to hear of Monica's passing. I'm sure you will have wonderful memories of life together.
I have fond childhood memories of all us cousins rocketing around, making heaps of noise.
I also remember school days, school dances, and you, Dick, and Monica getting married.
Many memories of a beaut girl cousin who married a really good man.
