5 Jan 2025. So sorry to hear of my cousin and childhood pal's passing. I lived with Michael's family for a school term while my mother was in a Chch sanatorium recovering from TB. We were the same age - he was the go getter and I tagged along into all sorts of trouble and fun. We lost touch after I moved to Dunedin way back, until we returned to NZ in 2022 and caught up with Spike, Noleen and Peter Apr 2023. Haere ra.

To Noleen and family, Pauline, Peter, Margaret, Betty and families.
I was saddened to hear of Michael's passing. He was the 'fun cousin' when I was growing up in Dunedin. My sisters and I loved when he came to stay, he was always teasing and joking with us. We loved that attention and thought he was so cool. RIP Michael.

Mike was our big' cousin who took us eel fishing in the Puni (behind Lockerby St) and who later made impromptu visits to his Aunty Nelly in Dunedin.
Mike's loyalty to the wider clan will remain part of my lasting connection to the mainland. Paul Lynch, Hamilton
